*Only eligible candidates may inquire for information on the parrots listed below.

NOTICE - we do not accept NEW CANDIDATE Applications between November 24th and January 1st.  Only candidates who have their applications registered with us before Nov 24th will be able to adopt a parrot until January 1st.  We will resume regular application acceptance on January 1st.

WE WILL ONLY DISCUSS ADDITIONAL DETAILS WITH ELIGIBLE CANDIDATES.

NON-EMERGENCY / REGULAR PLACEMENTS

Profiles listed below are for Parrots being placed through our Regular Placement Program.  These parrots are still living with their owners who have agreed to allow LIPS to act as a liaison between themselves and our eligible candidates.

Diet   Bird Pellets, fruit fruit & veggies, eggs, bread, protein

Behavior Problems   Bites when scared or unhappy.  Most of the time he is affectionate.

Hand Tame   Yes

Feather Picking Problems   Yes, he has pulled all the feathers from his chest.  He is very unhappy because he loves to get a lot of attention and his alone most of the day.

Talking Ability   Yes (Smeagol, stop it, i love ou, what are you doing, Fred (his dog friend), get the ball, good morning, he also barks)

Vet Checked Annually   Yes 

Cage Included   Yes (huge cage and small travel cage)

Reason for Giving Up   Recent divorce and I’m unable to give him the attention he needs.  I’m also pregnant.

 

Must be Placed by   As soon as an amazing home is found

Cage Included     Yes, large self-standing parrot cage on rollers, dishes, toys, etc.

Reason for Giving Up     Too loud for small, busy home.  Can’t provide attention deserved anymore.

Reason for Giving Up     She attacks sometimes and owner wants to have a baby.
